Puddles and Freddie

The Puddles and Freddie series of books and resources introduce young children to aspects of the Christian faith.

The series has been designed to capture the interest and imagination of children through the adventures of the mischievous cat, Puddles.

They are entirely appropriate for children in the earliest stages of education, Nursery and Reception level and can also be used effectively with more able children and those working at Year 1 and Year 2 level.

The  Puddles and Freddie series of books and resources have been fully verified as effectively supporting the teaching and learning approach promoted by Understanding Christianity.  Each title covers a different aspect of the Christian faith:  Harvest, Nativity and Christmas, Easter, Weddings, Infant Baptism, and Helping Others.

Themes covered within the series fully match the core theological concepts identified by the Understanding Christianity project and with which children will engage.  Books at Press is delighted to be able to support schools as they adopt Understanding Christianity to raise standards in teaching and learning about Christianity.
